ADDIS ABABA-Some members of the Sudanese government forces are promoting a third party’s agenda through aggravating the ongoing Ethio-Sudan border skirmish, the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) Chief of Staff General Berhanu Jula said.
There is a third party, which works aggressively to incite war between the two sisterly countries and separate its peoples, the Chief of Staff underscored.
Gen. Berhanu rejected the Sudanese accusation that an Ethiopian military plane violated its airspace.
As to him, there are terrorists involved in aggravating the ongoing Ethio-Sudan border skirmish while most of the Sudanese people propel for peaceful resolution of the problem.
“The ongoing border skirmish is mainly orchestrated by a group led by a third party that wants to dismantle the century-old relations between the two countries. Ethiopia opts for solving the situation peacefully and will never enter into a destructive moment pushed by this group,” he stressed.
